Badaling Ancient Great Wall：Badaling Ancient Great Wall is the original section of the Ming Great Wall in the western part of Badaling. Restored in the principle of “repairing old as old”, its broken ramparts hold stories of frontier garrisons. Less crowded and serene, it fully presents the primitive bleak charm of the ancient Great Wall.

Make your own way to Qinghe Railway Station or Beijing North Railway Station downtown (the exact station will be notified one day prior to departure). Please arrive at the waiting hall at least 30 minutes in advance.

 

Estimated ride duration: around 20 minutes.

 

  • For Badaling Great Wall tour: Our staff will greet you at the station exit, assist you with paper ticket collection and provide the electronic audio guide.
  • For Badaling Ancient Great Wall tour: A shuttle bus driver will meet you at the station exit and transfer you to the Ancient Great Wall. The bus ride takes approximately 25 minutes. After sightseeing, the driver will take you back to Badaling High-Speed Railway Station.

 

  • Badaling Great Wall: Up to 5 hours of free time; round-trip cable car rides are available as an option.
  • Badaling Ancient Great Wall: Up to 4 hours of free time; no cable cars available, climbing is only on foot.

 

Estimated return ride duration: 20 minutes.

 

Head back to downtown and arrive at Qinghe Railway Station or Beijing North Railway Station.
