Leshan Giant Buddha: A world-renowned colossal stone-carved Buddha statue. It is situated at the confluence of the Minjiang, Qingyi, and Dadu Rivers, backed by Mount Lingyun and facing the merging of the three rivers, exuding grandeur. Carved into the mountain, the Leshan Giant Buddha stands 71 meters tall, making it the largest stone-carved seated Buddha in the world and one of China’s Four Great Grottoes. Construction of the Buddha began during the Kaiyuan era of the Tang Dynasty and took approximately 90 years to complete. It is not only a symbol of Buddhist culture but also a testament to the wisdom and craftsmanship of ancient Chinese laborers.
Huanglongxi Ancient Town: A well-preserved thousand-year-old town. Known for its quaint streets, ancient architecture, and rich historical culture, Huanglongxi boasts a wealth of cultural heritage, including ancient temples, bridges, and residences, with Longxing Temple and Gulong Bridge being among the most famous. The town’s streets are lined with traditional handicraft shops and local snack stalls, offering visitors a glimpse into Sichuan’s folk customs and culinary culture. Huanglongxi Ancient Town is not just a tourist attraction but also an important window into the study of China’s ancient town history and culture.
