Zhangjiajie, Fenghuang Ancient City, Furong Town

Zhangjiajie: fairyland with strange peaks, the magic of nature

Once you enter Zhangjiajie, you are in a magical world. The national forest park has 3,000 peaks of various shapes; Tianmenshan offers a cable car ride to view the deep valleys and cliffs, and the glass walkway is thrilling; the 72 scenic buildings shine at night, gathering folk customs and delicious food.

Don’t miss the local delicacies: Tujia’s three-cooking pot, a spicy dish with pork head and stomach as the main ingredients; Tujia cured meat, slowly smoked over wood fire, is salty and chewy; Rock ear stewed with free-range chicken, combining the fresh flavors of the mountain ingredients with the chicken; Cold noodles are refreshing and cooling, while sweet oil cakes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, each offering its unique flavor.

Phoenix Ancient City: a thousand-year-old border city, a poetic water town in the dream

The ancient city of Fenghuang is traversed by the Tuo River, and the ink painting is outlined by the bluestone road and stilt houses. The riverside hotel has a view through the window, and at night the lights of the Tuo River are brilliant. It is romantic to enjoy the scenery by boat or listen to folk songs in the bar.

Furong Town: a thousand-year-old town hanging on the waterfall, the blend of tranquility and simplicity

Furong Town, with a history of more than 2,000 years, is famous for its movies. The 60-meter-high waterfall is majestic, and the five-mile-long green stone street is well preserved. Snacks such as rice tofu and ginger candy and local handicrafts are all displayed in the ancient town.

Zhangjiajie, Phoenix Ancient City and Furong Town, with their beautiful mountains and rivers, poetic and ancient beauty, jointly paint a beautiful picture of northwestern Hunan province, bringing an unforgettable spiritual journey.
